Qi Gong

Qi is the energy that flows through the body via specific pathways called meridians. The practice of Qi Gong builds Qi via proper posture, soft movement, breath, and meditation. The Medical Qi Gong styles offered by the Wellness Clinic release stagnant Qi from the body and collect vibrant Qi from nature and the universe thus improving one's health and longevity.
Qi Gong is practiced throughout China and worldwide to:

  • Relieve Pain and Stress
  • Increase Energy and Stamina
  • Alleviate Anxiety and Depression
  • Overcome Insomnia
  • Boost the Immune System
  • Balance the Emotions
  • Calm and Relax the Mind and Body
  • Enhance Creativity and Productivity
  • Help Heal a Variety of Health Conditions by Balancing the Energy System

Qi Gong Remedial Exercises are often used with acupuncture and herbal medicine to help treat a variety of health issues. Energy Balancing

Energy Balancing opens blockages in the body's internal energy field, thus restoring the flow of Qi or bio-energy. The Wellness Clinic offers Energy Healing sessions based on the traditions of Qi Gong, Reiki and Healing Touch.

Qi or Energy Healing facilitates a deep sense of calm and relaxation. It brings about positive changes in the physical body, ultimately improving the body’s ability to heal itself.
All living organisms give off a bioelectric field. An Energy healer can detect these fields and correct the imbalances that have accumulated throughout a person's lifetime. Imbalances occur from deep-seated emotions (stress, anger, anxiety, depression, grief, etc.), trauma or injury, improper diet, excessive sexual activity, lack of exercise, etc. Imbalances may also be acquired from our parents (both constitutional and emotional).
If there is a block in the flow of Qi it becomes stagnant and prevents other parts of the body from being nourished. If the Qi flows too rapidly, it causes degeneration or exhaustion of the internal organs. Energy Healing is similar to a powerful acupuncture treatment. It activates acupuncture points, meridians, and organ systems helping to balance the body energy, filling deficiencies and removing excess.
The ability to emit Energy or Qi to heal others can be done in many ways:

  • Energy Balancing Massage: placing hands on the receiver through massage, acupressure, or gentle touch.
  • Qi Emission: placing hands several inches above the body and emitting Qi to remove negative influences and supplement deficiencies.
  • Distance healing: focusing on an individual at a distance while emitting energy with the intention of correcting his or her imbalances.

Energy healers in the Qi Gong tradition regularly practice self-healing Qi Gong to help regulate their personal health and their healing ability. Diligent practice also helps develop skills such as clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience that can help fine tune the healer's diagnosis skills.
Qi Gong healers also have a basic understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. A healer uses this foundational knowledge in partnership with intuition to correctly balance the patient's Qi and attain optimal treatment results.
Treatments can last from 10 to 45 minutes depending on the disharmony being treated and the objective of treatment.
